Physics Studies

Research area is synthesizing and characterization of novel electroceramic energy materials especially electrical conductivity characterization of ionic conductive ceramics. 

I obtained my PhD degree with research about production and characterization of new type solid electrolyte materials. These materials used in many energy applications such as Solid Oxide Fuel Cells and Oxygen Sensors. Several papers were published from my PhD thesis. I studied as a research assistant at Erciyes University Material Research Group for 6 years. In this group, I gained several experiences stated in below.

Synthesizing and processing of electroceramic powder materials for energy applications; Solid-State Synthesis Method, Pechini Synthesis Method (Modified Sol-Gel).

Forming of powder electroceramic materials; Tape Casting, Screen Printing, Lamination, Pellet form with a hydraulic press and/or cold isostatic press.

Characterization of powder or shaped electroceramic materials; Effect of heat treatment studies to obtain the powders with single-phase, Powder Indexing and Phase Determination with XRD Analysis, Microstructure Characterization with SEM Analysis, Thermal Analysis and Properties with DTA and TGA, 

Electrical Conductivity Characterization; Four-Point Probe D.C. Method for determination of total conductivity measurement and effect of geometry on conductivity values using Geometric Factor expressions. Impedance measurement using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy. 

Effect of parameters on conductivity; temperature, Oxygen partial pressure, heat treatment with time (ageing time determination).

Single Solid Oxide Fuel Cell fabrication and performance measurements, electrical power testing.
